The Wisdomous - People, Trauma and Self-awareness.
Happy Wednesday,
Welcome to another edition of The Wisdomous!
Over here, cold months are over; days are getting longer, the skies are brighter, I am getting thinner and lifting heavier. I also bought a jumping rope.
A few days ago a friend noticed that I have changed, he wrote this to me :
"You don't overlook things; you are all about details and doing things right, you take your time to make your things, but when it's done, it's perfect. It's magical, and you know it too. Now you seem to be minding more about how you use your time, which is a good thing, but if you don't give it all your best, they will always be missing. If we start doing what we have to do and leave it there, then we have lost the important thing we have."
I am okay with shipping less than perfect work. What is perfect anyway? I am operating from the point of done is better than perfect. Putting things in motion, delegating and adjusting.
Whilst, I still regard certain things with high standard, not everything deserves to be treated as such. Time is of the essence, and it's okay to ship when you are not read and set things in motion when they aren't done.
“You should be far more concerned with your current trajectory than with your current results." - James Clear
Here are a few reasons why done might be better than perfect.

It’s better to venture forth and fail than to stand by the Sea and never sail.
"The best cure for cranial constipation is emotional fibre. Feel 'something', anything. Pain, anger, joy; if your heart goes eerily cold or leaps erratically from your chest, your synaptic bowels will soon find release.” ― Muse
Light griefs are loquacious, but the great are dumb.
