The Wisdomous : In the ordinary lies enormous beauty.
Welcome to The Wisdomous - a friendly email sent to you every week to nourish your mental wealth. You will find micro-lessons from macro thinkers, a good story, awesome reads and some fun suggestions.
Hey Wisdomous friends,
I hope you are doing well; I have enjoyed the past week, and the weather in my city has been pleasant.
My mind pondered on this quote by Teilhard de Chardin, "Do not forget that the value and interest of life are not so much to do conspicuous things... as to do ordinary things with the perception of their enormous value."
If you follow me on Instagram, you've probably seen that I've learned to appreciate the little things in life, to be more aware, and to document what my eyes had previously overlooked.
Maybe you don't all want to be famous, wealthy beyond measure, or own villas all over the world, and even if you do, you may not be able to achieve your goals in this lifetime.
Why don't we learn to value the simple and ordinary by looking at them through the lens of their great value?
Observe road signs, photograph your home, take self-portraits, write down your ideas, and keep track of the mundane.
In the ordinary lies enormous beauty.

Compassion dissolves Conflict.
When your absence is not felt, then probably your presence is not needed.
Sitting in silence sets things straight.

It’s OK to worry or know how not to: The future is uncertain, scary, hidden. We wouldn’t be human if we didn’t worry about things at times.

Meditation is hard: These apps feature guided meditation sessions, visualization tools to help people drift to sleep and more.
Boring is better : The idea of ganbaru doesn’t necessarily mean putting in hours of work, going overboard with practice, or pushing yourself to a limit that can cause burnout.
Tips.
A list of a few words that I fail to define:
Commitment to one's practice, vocation, health, relationships, learning, listening, and showing up with integrity is a key characteristic of character required for a fulfilling life. Commitment to others and ourselves creates an opening in the heart that helps us connect more deeply with life and thrive.
Dedication is a discipline, not a mood, and it is the source of miracles. The amazing depths of love and wonder that most people desire - safety and fullness, adventure and connection - are thus a choice. Impulsivity results in a life of transitory fulfilment, with moments of satisfaction enclosed in it.
Integrity, defined as "the state of being undivided," implies that one's thoughts and statements are consistent. Disconnection occurs when there is a disparity between these two. If the chasm persists, an individual may lose touch with his or her integrity, leading to apathy or unhappiness.
Fun.
